Conventional Machining

Manual machining or convential machining is the machining of parts with the use of borers, lathes, mills, drills, hones and slotters. At Rockhampton Engineering our extensive range of manual machines allows us to machine precise parts and components to meet our customers needs.

Track type tractor final drive hubs and spindles, cylinders, rear diff housings, planetarys, grader front axle componets, electrical motor rotors and endsheilds, cylinder bearing eyes & cylinder rods are some of the components that are rebuilt in the Rockhampton Engineering workshop.

Materials that can be machined are welded steel, welded cast iron, Plain carbon steel, Low alloy steel, High alloy steel/ high tensile steel, Tool steels, Stainless steel, Aluminium, Brass, Copper, Plastics, Pipes and Tubes.
